Smile Time offers you all the services you need for a healthy and beautiful mouth – and more besides. At our surgery you will find a range of services, from those needed to ensure the proper functioning and health of your mouth – such as fillings, dental implants, tartar removal and polishing – to dentures, oral surgery, prosthetic work and treating periodontal disease, to aesthetic work such as teeth whitening and hyaluronic fillers.
It’s time for your perfect smile!
Dental implants
Implants are an effective and reliable solution where there are one or more teeth missing. In addition to providing you with a more beautiful smile, and making speech and chewing easier, implants help correct the poor facial profile (aged appearance) that comes about as the result of loss and resorption of jaw bone mass. Dental implants prevent the loss of bone as they transfer the chewing force to the bone.
Oral surgery
Oral surgery is an area of dentistry concerned with diagnosing and treating conditions in the mouth which require a surgical procedure. Oral surgery encompasses tooth extraction, resection (apicoectomy) of the roots, frenectomy and alveolar ridge recontouring.
Prosthesis
Combined work is an option for patients who do not have enough natural teeth for a bridge to be made for them, or in the event that dental implants are not feasible. A bridge is constructed on the existing teeth, with attachments on it for placing and stabilising the denture.
Tooth repair
Fillings are used to repair a tooth that has been damaged by decay, or to improve the shape and appearance of a tooth that has changed shape due to erosive factors (abfraction along the gum line, chipping, poor-quality teeth).
Root canal treatment
A tooth infection will not heal itself. It needs the attention of a dentist. Not only are most infections very painful, an untreated tooth is also a source of micro-organisms, which can migrate through the circulatory system to all parts of the body and cause a variety of illnesses, the source of which often cannot be identified.
Periodontics
Periodontal disease is a condition causing deterioration of the bone and tissues holding the teeth in place in the jaw. Once those structures are affected the tissues cannot fully be restored. However, with proper treatment disease can be stopped. It is rare for periodontal disease to be localised in a single tooth, usually all or most of the teeth are affected.
Facial aesthetics
Hyaluronan is a natural component of our skin which gives tone and volume, keeping it flexible and fresh. Applying hyaluronic acid fillers to wrinkles, which compensate for the deficiency of this compound in the skin tissues, is a painless and non-invasive method for restoring a youthful and fresh appearance to the skin and facial contours.
Diagnostics
For dental treatment to be effective there needs to be a proper evaluation of the patient’s initial condition before anything else is done. At Smile Time we use a dental X-ray machine and a device that analyses the vitality of your teeth. That way we can carry out a comprehensive evaluation of the initial condition of your teeth and take appropriate steps towards achieving your desired goal.
